Resilience in the Community
Community Training Series:
Brain-Based, Trauma Informed Approach
The Building Better Lives team uses our community trainings as an opportunity to bring the Neurosequential model to Franklin Counties families by educating those who work with the community directly. Developed by Dr. Bruce Perry and expanded upon by others, BBL has developed a training that educates Community Workers on ways to interact with families and patients in a way that acknowledges their trauma and provides solutions.
The Brain-Based, Trauma Informed Approach Training is a full day event broken into two sections. This training is paid for in partnership with Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services and the Franklin County Department of Developmental Disabilities. Ohio Approved Credit (up to 6hrs) available through OCCRRA, other CEUs subject to availability (please inquire). We will also provide Certificates of Attendance.

During Part One, we will focus on learning about ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences Study), The Power of Resilience, Basics of Brain Science, Rhythm, Relationships and Attachment, Complex Developmental Trauma, and Practical Strategies to Respond to Trauma
