Resilience in Our Schools

Building Brain-Based, Trauma Informed Schools

Through our partnership with Franklin County Commissioners Department of Job and Family Services, Building Better Lives has more than a decade of experience supporting the teachers, staff and administrators in districts around Franklin County as they implement trauma informed practices in the classroom and school community. BBL provides training, professional development, and coaching support as districts and individual schools tackle challenges around student and staff stress and burnout.  Building Better Lives works with school administrators to create structures and make changes in school culture that support resilience.

What Is Coaching?

To move beyond "Trauma-Informed" requires new skills and knowing how to apply concepts to unique situations, and developing your own Resilience. That is "Trauma-Competent." And that growth process is done better with support from a coach.
