Meet The Team
Prior to moving into my management position, I had been a BBL Resilience Coach for 5 years and before that, I worked for over 15 years directly with youth and families within the Juvenile Justice System. I believe in our brain-based, trauma informed approach to building safer and more connected school communities and outside of work, I love being with my family and friends, listening to music, cooking, and being outdoors.
I am an Attorney at Law, an Education Specialist and Ohio Approved (OA)Instructor. I practiced civil rights law from 2001 to 2010, focusing primarily on women’s and children’s rights. Since 2012, I have been engaged in work in the field of Education (early education and K-12), as an education specialist and trainer, enabling and enhancing the education workforce to better meet the needs of children and families they serve.
I’ve been coaching with FCFC since 2019. Prior to this I worked with youth and families as a counselor and parenting educator. I love that in my role as a BBL coach, I have the opportunity to build relationships with teachers and help them integrate trauma informed practices into their classrooms.
I’m a graduate of The Ohio State University. I’ve worked for over 10 years with youth and families via mental health, children services, and the juvenile justice system. For fun, I love spending time with my husband, and our two amazing daughters. I enjoy traveling, coaching, listening to music, and walking.
I have been with FCFC since 2014 working in Early Intervention but have recently switched to the BBL Program. I support Coaches by sending out email communications and keeping track of data. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and Daughter.
I have my MFA in Poetry and strive to utilize poetry as a catalyst of healing. I have been afforded the opportunities in the past to work with youth varying in ages from newborn to college students. My world thrives on creating memories and spending my time with five amazing children and my Husband.
I am returning as a coach I have over 20 years experience in education and have been in the public health and mental health world as well. I am very excited to be part of the team! I love impacting people and changing lives!
I am in my third year as a resilience coach with the BBL team. Before I transitioned to coaching, I was an intervention specialist and general education math teacher in middle and high school. I am passionate about training and coaching professionals to utilize brain-based and trauma-informed principles in building equitable learning spaces for their students.
I am a career educator and have been a BBL coach since 2019. I am passionate about how transformative brain-based, trauma-informed concepts can be to a school community. The work educators do daily continues to inspire me and I look forward to collaborating and supporting you on this journey.
